Dog Auctions

Unconditional Love Foundation is very active in the fight against puppy mills. Through the years ULF & our mill rescue team has removed over 1000 dogs from mills & that number grows every year.  When we attend a auction we pose as breeders or brokers,  the auctions are only one of the many ways we get dogs out of the mill system. There are people who do not believe we or other rescues should attend these auctions because they believe we are just helping the puppy millers continue the cycle. Many people also think the auctions should be illegal. We don't see things that way. When ULF or a rep attends an auction we go & focus on certain breeds or individual dogs that someone may have sponsored. We will also buy the dog no one else wants-- we have purchased dogs for as little as 1 penny-- yes 1 penny. We are more concerned about the dog we are saving from a life of legalized cruelty than anything else.
